Jon Wittenberg
Jon Wittenberg began his music career on
the "air guitar" emulating Elvis Presley moves at the age of three.
Handed a Bach trumpet in a third grade he blew his parents and
teachers away and music lessons ensued. Jon has played in bands
starting with blues in Los Angeles in the mid 80’s, Bluegrass in
Laramie, Wyoming, and a California surf band from Ventura,
California. He also plays with Hawaiian Slack Key artist, Mike'ele
McClellan. Jon is a huge enthusiast/participant at RiverTunes Camp.
Will Morebeck
Will Morebeck
is a wonderful singer songwriter from the Lincoln/Auburn foothill
area. Having lived on a small farm for many years, Will's songs
reflect the subtleties of country life. He has been a very
supportive member and volunteer of the RiverTunes camp family and he
performs locally throughout the valley as a soloist and duet. Will
was awarded a RiverTunes Scholarship in 2012.
Hattie Craven
Hattie
is a budding ukulele player, singer, and songwriter. Hattie
participates in community theater in both lead and supporting roles,
athletics, and is a proud honor roll student. Her summers are
brimming with music festivals, camps, travel and plenty of ice
cream. Hattie has made main stage guest appearances at the
Strawberry Music Festival, CA Worldfest and the Millpond Music
Festival to standing ovations. She is a youth student member of
RiverTunes and has just released her first CD, "Eleven" to rave
reviews.
Keith Little
A nationally acclaimed musician,
recording artist, and composer, Keith performs on guitar, 5-string
banjo, mandolin, and fiddle. He is one of the greatest California
based bluegrass artists working today and collaborates with many
folks and also performs with the David Grisman Bluegrass Experience,
and is featured member of the Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band.
An amazing vocalist, Keith performed on
the Grammy winning recordings “The Grass Is Blue” and “Little
Sparrow” by Dolly Parton, and “Another Country” by the Chieftains.
Keith's compositions have been recorded by Crystal Gayle, Tim
O’Brien, Claire Lynch, and he is an honorary lifetime member of the
California Bluegrass Association. He is a very appreciated and
valued faculty member of RiverTunes.
JCT members have played with such greats as Jerry Garcia, Stephane Grappelli, Bonnie Raitt, Tom Waits, Paul Brady,
Dennis Chambers, Maria Muldaur, The Persuasions, The Alison Brown Quartet, Robben Ford, Mark O'Connor,
Psychograss, Jon Hendricks, Darol Anger, Rob Ickes, The Turtle Island String Quartet and many others.
A nationally known "power
trio" of keyboards, key bass, drums, fiddle, mandolin, found sound
and vocals, this music celebration is a surprisingly full sound for
a party of three. Award winning educator and recording artist Joe
Craven, along with incredible Bay area artists, pianist John R. Burr
and percussionist extraordinaire Kendrick Freeman, pay tribute to
Traditional American Folk, Blues, New Orleans, Swing, Funk, as well
as the music of Brazil, Haiti, Ireland, Cuba and Puerto Rico. Their
music is crisp, tight and full of groove.
